Miller ChatterHeath talks about being selected for his first Pro Bowl : Steelers TE Heath Miller said in an interview with CBSSports.com that he was honored to make the Pro Bowl after a career season in 2009. Miller set new career highs for catches (76) and yards (789) while also scoring six touchdowns. "It's nice to be recognized with the best in the game," Miller said. "It's definitely something that's special for me. ... But I know how I play week in and week out, whether I get recognized or not. I know when I can play better, and I know when I play well. I feel like I'm my harshest critic. To be recognized by other people is nice, but it's not something I base my productivity on." Ben Roethlisberger talks about Heath's new contract: "When Heath first got here I told him I think we are going to be here together for a long time and we are. To me Heath does not get even close to the credit he deserves. He is one of the best, if not the best, all-around tight ends in the game. He doesn't get that credit because he doesn’t put up the big numbers. If you ask anybody that goes against him or anybody on this team, anybody that knows tight ends they will tell you how good he is." "He was very deserving of what he got. I am glad he is gong to be with me for a long time. He is a pretty good player." Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger: "He is the best tight end in football." Steelers safety Troy Polamalu: "Heath, to me, is the most complete tight end in the NFL. He can block and he catches everything." Steelers offensive coordinator, Bruce Arians: "Pro bowls have nothing to do with the best tight ends going to the Pro Bowl," Arians said. "It's the guy with the most catches who goes. Those are glorified wide receivers. I've said it every year, Heath's the best tight end in the AFC." Miller Causes

It Starts With a Child It's a simple philosophy - start kids off on the right path and they will lead us to greatness. Urban Impact is changing Pittsburgh’s North Side one person, one family, one block at a time - and it all starts with a child or young person. We believe that if we impact their lives early on by giving them options and hope for the future, they will become productive members of the community and have a positive, lasting impression on society. Heath works with the organization by teaching football skills to the kids through Play Ball for Kids. He also donates autographed items to raffle off to earn money for the organization. Variety Pittsburgh What moves us to care No one asks to have a disability. And no one should be treated as if they do. This is what moves us. Variety the Children's Charity of Pittsburgh is the only organization in southwestern Pennsylvania that provides mobility and enabling equipment for children with disabilities, ages 21 and under. For more than 80 years, our mission has been to set pity aside, in order to empower. To never ignore, so we can include. To not dwell on limitation, so we may uncover potential. Whether it's through events and programs that involve kids or social activities for families coping with disabilities, Variety has a history of reaching out. Serving all children without discrimination. Helping them become all that they're capable of - and more. Heath hosts a group of children from Variety at training camp. He provides field passes to watch practices and afterwards he brings several teammates over to talk with the children and take photos with them. To learn more about Variety, click here. Miller Covers
